>>59161573ive been running a team with tailwind and trick room, and just picking what i need in team preview. mega meganiums speed tier is admittedly in the worst bracket where it gets undersped by slow mons and outsped by fast mons, so you need to be somewhat reactive. if youre facing fast mons, set TR and underspeed them. if its slow mons, do nothing (deny their TR or reverse it with your own), and if its a mix of slow and fast mons, go for tailwind. obviously also depends what else is on the team. another slower mon to get more value out your trick room, for example, is nicewhims is probably the best tailwind setter generally, but for meganium i think theres an argument for pelipper since it has nice defensive synergy and shares a similar speed tier. whimms is still good if thats the way youre leaning though.stuff like icy wind is good too. im kinda of the opinion that theres no such thing as too much speed control, but the rule of thumb id say is that you wanna have at least one of tailwind or trick room at a bare minimum, ie those are the two strongest options

The biggest hurdle I faced initially when I began playing was Mega Zard and Mega Dnite, but Scarfchomp and Meowscarada been helping me deal with them plenty, now I just gotta stick all these scattered concepts into one team.I was also messing around with Ally Swap Ceruledge and was pleasantly surprised by how much Flash Fire was working out for me, but I know that's a gimmick and most of the good fire mons just blast Heat Wave anyways, but I'm curious if there's room for Flash Fire in this meta where Zard sun feels very powerful.Sorry for the long post, I should say I have zero VGC/doubles experience and most of my guys are just my ingame dudes. I've been able to climb to Ultra 2 when I swapped to Mega Glimmora but I'm finding more and more situations where I wish I had Meganium.
