Just got Critted by a bitch whore Lilligant by some Benga avatar troon on showdown random battles Benga and Lilligant need a double barrel shotgun to the fucking head
>>59157862Missed all 8 of my Rotom's Hydro Pumps in one game. I still won but I couldn't believe that shit
>>59158345I missed my opening Wil o Wisp for no shit 11 games in a row once
>>59158366>believing in kike nonsenseThat's why you have bad luck anon

>>59158655Why did you switch on Scyther?
I once lost a pokemon in a nuzlocke of BW2 to audino critting on all 5 double slap hits. I've never been more convinced the games are just rigged
>>59158674Choice locked into eq
>>59158655What's unlucky about this? You kept using a move that doesn't even have 100 accuracy like a retard on a mon that had +3 accuracy. You missplayed and should've switched back to Aerodactyl to ohko or heavily damage with aerial ace before the omni boosts
>>59158729The unlucky part is the 2 crits and 3 omniboosts in a row kekI didn't have aerial ace on the aerodactyl i had fly

This morning on Champions I did a 3v3 battle against some guy with a Glimmora. I got into a standoff with his Glim using Rock Slide and my Drampa using Roost with Berserk proccing several times, but flinching me every time before I could ever get back to green health and use Draco Meteor. My Drampa at +2 or +3 ended up fainting after getting flinched by RS three turns in a row.>mfw I bring out Mega T-tar and KO Glim and Mega Gengar with DD+EQI won the battle, but that was the worst hax I’ve experienced on Champions yet.

>>59159030hahahahaha
>>59158736>I had a suboptimal move>I had no answer to a common move in the towerYou lost at teambuilding.
>>59159030Kek>>59159455Yeah probably. But the evasion hax wasn’t the point of my post
>>59158655I had a good laugh watching this. The final crit & omniboost was the icing on the cake
>>59157862I threw 20 or more Ultra Balls at a shiny Oricorio and still couldn't catch it, then I accidentally fainted it
>>5915865510% procs are like 50% in the all those post game modes, I swear.
It would be good for the game if all hax stuff used the probability gradient like protect. Like if a move has a 1/X chance to trigger an effect, immediately after triggering the effect the chance is reduced to 1/X^2, then on the following turn goes back to 1/X, and after X turns without the effect starts climbing to 1*T/X where T is the number of “over” turns without the effect. The idea being your average proc rate should still hover around 1/X but it becomes extremely unlikely that you have long streaks where the effect procs or doesn’t proc repeatedly, because the odds are biased to keep any given run of 5-6 moves conforming to that average. If something should miss 1 time in 5, the odds of any random sequence of 5 uses not containing 1-2 misses (no more or less) should be vanishingly small. That’s not how probability works but it would feel better for all players I think.
>>59161368Uuuuhhh this has a nameDota 2 has it. If you have a 20% crit rate, every time you miss a crit the chance increases. When you get a crit, your chance drops to below 20, then slowly starts increasing as you miss crits. Same thing for basically every "chance based" interaction in Dota. I think the net result is odds are higher, but because getting consecutive procs is generally very unlikely so people usually like it better. I think only Chaos Knight has true RNG, since that's his shtick Then again, it's been like, ten years since I've touched DOTA so things may have changed.
>>59159030Doesn't compare to getting reverse swept by a Toxapexhttps://youtu.be/XYH_lu5R3H0
>>59161594this sounds like it'd probably be a nightmare for pokemon considering that status effects last for the entire fight, usually, if the proc chance increased every time you don't proc
>>59161694It resets to lower than the given chance after a proc though, is the thing. It's not like it goes 30, 60, 90, procs then the next one is 30 again, the next one after a proc is like, 10. After proccing, the chance dips down to maybe 5 or 10, then builds back up. I don't recall the rate or values off hand, and I'm too math illiterate to recreate the values, but it works out that something like a 30% proc rate has a near 100% chance of proccing within 4 hits, but like a 5% chance of double proccing in sequence, and I think a triple is outright impossible except at very high base values. In practice it just forces the numbers to conform to what "ought" to happen, and prevents streaks of exceptionally good, or exceptionally bad luck.
>>59161742And yeah, it being on permanent status does seem unreasonable, so maybe only implement it for non-permanent procs. Like, sticking the flinch on a move, or rolling to be fully para'd
>>59161594I think the name is pity timer/counter. Basically the game pities you for being statistically unlucky
>>59158330Benga I agree with, but don't talk shit about my wife like that
