>>59161114Probably DeviljhoGuzzlord isn't really a fighter, it's an eater.Guzzlord eats garbage, Deviljo hunts things scarier than Guzzlord regularly. If Deviljho had any ability to control itself, they should really develop an ant-aphid relationship. Deviljho protects herds of Guzzlord, who eats things Deviljho can't, then Deviljho eats a Guzzlord. But alas, counting on Deviljho to not just eat first and ask questions later is impossible.
>>59161365>Deviljho is a T. RexThats Anjanath pickle is a giganotosaur
>>59161563Bro what? Guzzlord have a harder body, making it hard to hurt it and it can eat anything. Not only that, it have arms. One grab from those arms, it's over.

>>59161769Did you not read what I just fucking said, Guzzlord is literally immune to all form of physical attack in the anime.
>>59161781However, Deviljho is the new, uncertain threat who needs to be introduced, and effortlessly trouncing something previously struggled with is par for the course for this.Narratively, Guzzlord loses, as something dangerous from the past, facing something unknown in the future, to establish how the stakes have been raised.Do you even watch anime?
>>59161758One of Deviljho's traits is that its saliva absolutely destroys your armor value.
>>59161758>not even BewearA random shitmon?Do you have any idea how boring "its hide cannot be pierced by normal attacks" is as a concept to Monster Hunter? That's literally one of the main fucking points of the series. These things are too durable to damage conventionally, so you need to build weapons out of the monsters that can, and slowly leap frog your way up. And that's before the lore dumps on shit like Gravios. All of which Deviljho bodies. There's like a half dozen things with super physical resistance in Monster Hunter. And half of these have fuckin gameplay mechanics to back it up, like Nergigante, who will genuinely become nearly undamagable if you let its armor harden, instead of having to rely on schizophrenic lore that never holds up like Pokemon does.
>>59161790But we're not talking about battle arcs, we're talking about to Monsters fighting each other at their strongest.>>59161819>shitmon>using comp termBewear in the anime is literally Hercules in more ways than one. Again, stop using gameplay as a form of evidences.

>>59161881>we're not talking about battle arcsDo I need to dig up an image of Roshi styling on Jiren? Beating the shit out of Power Man?It's fiction. Theatre. There is no logic to these things, it's writing. The one who wins is the one the writer wanted to win, and the one the writer wanted to win is the one that makes narrative sense.>to Monsters fighting each other at their strongest.Bewear can punch an ordinary human and they don't die. Bewear is not considered a living ecological disaster. Even Guzzlord is not considered a living ecological disaster. Deviljho throws down with things with abilities exceeding some of Pokemon's legendaries (real legendaries, with power over reality and nature), and wins some of the time.Guzzlord, in accordance with every factor of worldbuilding, how it is portrayed, how people react, is roughly a mid range monster. Probably a fair match for something like Diablos. Generously. Deviljho is at the apex of what monsters can be, before we start getting into Elder Dragon wank, and is specialized in that niche, for EXACTLY the circumstances of this encounter, by complete coincidence. This isn't power level, this is the way things are treated and reacted to, in the narrative they exist in.Guzzlord is a trash eater. Deviljho is a dragon eater. >stop using gameplay>HURRDURR STOP USING THE MEDIUM THAT I DON'T LIKE IT'S NOT FAAAIIIRLmaoEvery disingenuous little power scaling cunt gets so touchy about what's allowed to count or not. Utterly predictable. And it doesn't even matter. While we're here, I just have a fucking feeling. The Pokemon series loremaster wrote a story where Typhlosion raped an underage girl. That's part of the series lore bible and there's nothing you can do.
>>59161922I didn’t either
>>59161993>full on schizo>deflecting>ignore the lore of the game itself while using unused lore as fact>using gameplay as a measure with shit like F.E.A.R. existing>DRAGON BALL SUPER FUCKING MANGA!!!!!!Thank you for letting me know that you are a MHfag that is willing to throw a tantrum if your piccolo even have a chance of losing. May I also give you a fact that Guzzlord was going to defeat Tapu Fini, a legendary mind you, but got was forced to retreat when the wormholes begin to close?
Deviljho is like a 20 meter tall monster with the strength to topple and toss monsters of a similar size. This is without going into it's other abilities like acidic saliva. You could never convince me guzzlord is doing anything to it.
>>59162084>a legendary mind you,What does Tapu Fini do though?
>>59162102If we go off the in-game info he's at least as big. If we go off the anime, it's literally big enough to eat Deviljho whole.
>>59162102He's just a dinosaur that can spit acid. Those are dime a dozen in Pokemon.
>>59161229>Pichu used Thunder Shock!
>>59162084>you are a MHfagActually no.I don't really play the series, and have almost nothing invested in it. Only one I've played and beaten is Stories 2, and I put a big bite into heavily modded World. My girlfriend is into it, so I've picked up a lot of lore from her playthroughs and lore podcasts she listens to, but my personal investment in the series is almost nonexistent. Pokefags exaggerating pokemon to ludicrous extremes is a very prevalent issue in these kinds of discussions. I know damn near every exaggeration, ass pull, and bad argument they make, because it's all the same. Pull out X outlier, unsubstantiated feat, then do a circus performance maximizing that feat to olympian extremes, while rejecting all of the shit in the series that says that's bullshit.

>>59162161Tapu Fini is the guardian deity of the Poni Island in Alola that have full control of water that it can create pure water that clean uncleanness. It gains it's power from Ocean current. Indian elephants weigh around 3 to 4 tons. I think one might beat guzlord honestly. Guzlord has size, but is a featherweight, it has no leverage if an elephant gets in on it, and it probably can't even lift it. Like it's not a stomp. The elephant has almost no real offensive ability, besides goring (Indian elephants have much less developed tusks than African), and just general mass impacts and kicking (which, to be fair, elephant kicks are terrifying. Each one of those legs is prepared to take on between a third and half the elephant's weight at any given time, which itself is more than guzlord weighs. But, I think an Indian elephant really does have a good chance of beating a guzlord, or at least frustrating it until it just leaves. And an elephant gets slaughtered by even smaller therapods like Allosaurus or Carnotaurus. Something of size and build more similar to T-Rex FUCKS an elephant, 'cuz it's used to something four times the size of an elephant. And then deviljho has elemental magic bullshit, super healing, ludicrous strength and mobility for a creature its size, and a bunch of other shit. And guzlord is a fat bastard that can barely move. And if deviljho can pick up and swing a monster of almost its own size and weight like it's nothing, a featherweight like guzlord is doomed. Guzlord may well literally be incapable of putting any kind of pulling force on Deviljho, the weight difference is too much. Modestly, something of deviljho's size and build is over 10 tons, probably closer to 15 since all that shit is muscle. This would be like you trying to pull a house. There's a fundamental problem of leverage that you can't overcome, no matter how strong you are. You are never pulling that house towards you, you are pulling yourself to the house. And its not even like guzlord has a speed advantage. It's slow and fat as fuck, while deviljho is nimble as fuck, it's less a T-Rex and more a weasel twisted into the form of a T-Rex.
>>59161641Probably a bad example because there’s plenty of mons that are basically Rajang. For a direct comparison an Infernape could probably beat its ass.
>>59162320>this guy is comparing a normal elephant to monsters that have element power, some of which can shatter mountains.
>>59162397That one doesn't have a good scale reference, you're right.Uh.What if Infernape was King Kong? Not Monsterverse kaiju King Kong, like, OG, climbing the empire state building King King. But not slow and lumbering, it moves like Infernape at that size.
>>59162411And those elemental powers fail to kill humans all the time
>>59162418Are you sure about that, because, if I remember, there have been multiple incidents of humans dying to pokemon.
>>59162429Show one from the anime
In a lot of Pokemon VS matchups I think the biggest point in the mon’s favor is its speed. Like, a Lucario could probably solo most MonHun monsters just because comparatively it’s so fast.Guzzlord is a fat, slow fuck, so there’s no outmaneuvering happening. The question is just whether it can inflict enough damage before Deviljho kills it, and I don’t think we have enough feats to make that call.

>>59162477Just thinkThe Galar fossils could have been like thisYou have upright T.Rex, Jurassic Park T Rex, and Feathered T Rex.
You know what, I thought of a good benchmark for the two seriesThe "average" Elder Dragon, is Movie 2000 Lugia. Not normal Lugia, the Lugia that's fuckhuge and controls the climate of the region of the world it lives in.
>>59162536Is the average for elder dragons really that high. Like I'd equate something like Teostra with Entei.
>>59162475SoIt takes Zygarde Complete, empowered with a Z move, to kill one human, not even instantly?Interesting flex, but accepted.
>>59162547More or less, I'd think. There are are definitely weaker ones more in line with things like the legendary birds or dogs, but, if there's a legit, capital E, Elder Dragon, that's about where it's sitting.Assuming that Lugia isn't actually causing worldwide destruction, but more localized to an island chain and nearby regions. I know the movie itself says worldwide, but Pokemon as a whole was a much smaller world at that point in time.
>>59162547Amatsu is essentially movie Lugia
>>59162548>Z-moveRetarded confirm>>59162547Fuck no. The one major thing about Elder Dragons are supposed to be their ability to destroy the ecosystems. Problem with that however, is that you have other monsters that can go toe to toe with those guys who aren't even Elders themselves. Look Rajang, >>59161641 , this guy literally hunts down an Elder Dragon called Kirin to eat its horn, despite the fact Elder Dragons are supposed to be on top of the food chain. There is even a monster in Monster Hunter Rise called Magnamalo who literally juggles Elder dragons, treating them as a joke. Elders are more of the equivalent of an Pseudo legendary than a real one.
>>59162547>>59162584I think it depends a lot on the specific elder, since it's kind of just the dumping ground of supernatural level monsters with no tiers within it to separate them. Except for I guess, the black dragons.
>>59162584Kirin is a danger to ecosystems since lighting follows it everywhere, rajang is just an asshole. Elder dragon is more so a term for elusive monsters that the guild has little information on. Akantor I was labeled as an eleder before being changed to flying wyvern.
Deviljho is peak retard strength, it fights Dragons that may as well be considered local dieties, in Pokemon terms it would be like something that hunts Legendary Pokemon because he hungry. Guzzlord's just a screaming retard that everyone makes fun of
>>59162525>upright T.Rex>Feathered T Rex.
>>59161819>A random shitmon? The Bewear from the anime was an absolute brute that could kill Arceus if it wanted to.

>>59161114from the thumbnail I assumed this was going to be different
>>59162418>>59162548>wtf why dont they show humans being killed by the mascot monsters in this children's collectible mascot monster seriesGee idfk anon by this logic Deviljho is incapable of dismembering things because only hunters can.
>>59163000I’m pretty sure Kyogre can make water too brohydro pump aside if it’s summoning a rainstorm that rain has to come from somewhere
>>59163182I always figured Kyogre was doing something funny with air particles. Ripping apart hydrogen and oxygen molecules, then reassembling them into water, that seemingly oozes out of the air itself. Even better evidence for this with Primal Kyogre, since the air not having any normal oxygen in it would actually cause fire to instantly quench in a way water alone can't.
