Serena develop similar bubbly playful personality as Delia under Lisia's idol training and playfully tease Ash for him make awkward expression. Ash stops being the "Knight In Shining Armor" around her and treat her like previous four girls that traveled with him. Steps for Pearlshipping to completely surpass Amourshipping --> Make Older Dawn look like Laura Stuart with Slate Gray/Blue hair and similar eye color as NPC Akari. That's it. However Dawn is the only girl that pulled off being the co-protagonist & her Piplup is as popular as Pikachu which actually makes her the better choice.
