The 510 EV limit ruined pokemon's balance. It single-handedly destroyed the concept of mixed attackers and enabled lame play styles by empowering dedicated walls and hyper offense teams. They need to allow maxing EVs in all 6 stats again.

Maxing out every stat is worse. It just turns training into tedious busywork.

In Pokemon showdown it’s just a slider

Nah they just need to remove the phys/spec split

It's still boring, because there is never a good reason to not max out every stat. EVs aren't perfect, but they're much better because they allow for actual customization in sets.

Trick room thoughbeit

Trick room, foul play, confusion

>"customization"
>99% of EV spreads are just maxed out offensive stat + speed or maxed out hp + defensive stat
Lmao so creative

Old Pokemon games didn't have EV yields, you'd get a little bit into every stat. The most you could do is pump 10 vitamins into every stat but the ones you didn't want to max out.

And 100% of stat exp sets were maxed out. The gens 1 and 2 damage calc doesn't even let you lower them because there is never an instance where you'd do it.

That's why PLA is still the best pokemon game.
