it's kind of nice that we're almost all on the same page that they're definitely not all cat/dog because their direct inspirations were raijin, specifically a hybrid between a dog and cat, and a qilin. Even if visually, Raikou is 90% saber-toothed tiger, and entei is 90% lion, suicune alone breaks it because it's at the absolute best only like 10% cheetah.
