You are still dying to any super effective hit, but now you don’t instantly die to sneak pebbles or a stray toxic.

Wonder guard now prevents any form of damage that wouldn't be super effective based on type, making an exception for typeless damage for technical reasons.

Things that still kill shed:
>sandstorm
>burn
>struggle/confusion/contact/recoil damage
>curse

Things that no longer kill shed:
>hail
>spikes
>iron spikes (copperajah g-max)
>leech seed
>poison/toxic

So toxic orb shed is now something you genuinely can do. Shed now also learns psycho shift.

Wonder Guard is updated to now only allow Super Effective attacks to bypass it, effectively, it gains all the effects of Magic Guard. Also it now learns Endeavor

- make its base SpA at least equal to its base Atk.

These would already solve all of shed's problems without making it too strong, changing its gimmick or attempting to change Wonder Guard's logic.

Hey I've got a better idea, how about we fucking make Illusion usable in any way?

Give it an evolution in a game without infinite exp candy and just infinite exp share in general so you have to level it like Magikarp to unlock it

Give it a priority move that causes it to switch out if it hits a pokemon with a type that is super effective against it or has a move that is a type that's super effective against it (I think this falls in line with the ninja theming)

Give it fixed 100 hp

Alternatively you could give it fixed X=<5 HP and change wonder guard to have it cause 1 damage instead of 0 but make it work on hazards and shit as well.

it doesnt stop any damage from happening. say you fake being a water type, and eat a thunderbolt. the super effective text would show up and the hp bar would show you taking more damage than you are. if you take another hit then illusion breaks and shows what your real hp is. but say the thunderbolt was a crit and the faked mon wouldve died, then illusion is broken.

Illusion is now broken ONLY if hit by a move that is super effective against zoroark, not the pokemon it appears as. So only bug, fairy and fighting moves will break it.

Also if the pokemon zoroark is currently masquerading as faints, illusion automatically resets offscreen to have zoroark disguise itself as the next living party member.

The move night daze now also gains the effect of using the name and animation of the move in the same slot for the illusion pokemon. For example if zoroark with night daze as its 1st move is disguising as gengar and gengar's 1st move is shadow ball, night daze will display itself as shadow ball when used (as long as the illusion is not broken). It's still a dark-type move for matchup/damage purposes, it just has a mini-illusion built-in.
