The loss of Shudo is very noticeable and while they have their merit as anime ads, they mostly become curiosities. Especially due to how frequent legendary spam got in later games

It's a small masterpiece in the beauty of the setting and the animation. Narratively it's a little fairy tale, nothing special, but like other kids' movies such as Doraemon, it treats death and sacrifice in a non sugarcoated way (unlike PMD which always makes everyone come back in the end)
