There's a cute moment where the kid is being all gloomy and meek about what happened and May gets mad at him for not standing up for himself and Pokemon battling the people who took his base, only for Max to say that he doesn't find her lecture very convincing (coming from her). Hence the gag where she goes doggy style position. The gang decide to help the kid.

When the gang arrives at the base they find it destroyed and they decide to go through the drilled passage. Team aqua eventually intercepts Team magma but things don't really escalate. The gang observes from afar and after both teams leave the gang confronts TR (who where also observing from afar) to save the kid's Nincada. The kid mans up and rescues his Pokemon and everyone is happy but wonders what's up with TA and TM plans.
