Picked up this bitch for 30 burgers at Costco. What am I in for? Is it good?
>>59187161>What am I in for?Crippling depression. Playing this is basically a form of torture.
>>59187161It's bad, OP. It's bad...(Re)Play Legends Arceus instead.
>>59187161>Is it good?Yes.
>Asking the website notorious for calling everything bad if something is goodWhat answer were you expecting to get?
>>59187161You should have bought 20 hot dogs, it'd have been a better investment.
>>59187174The most recently released pokemon game I've played is Pokemon X when I was a kid so I have no idea what the switch games are like, especially since I heard these legends games are different from the usual mainline games but I don't know why. So the answer I was expecting is just some context. Game was only 30 bucks so idc that I bought it not knowing what it is, shit was basically a steal.
>>59187161I wouldn't play that game even if I was the one getting paid $30
>>59187199>>59187190>>59187169>>59187168Why tho
>>59187169>it's badYes.>play another bad game insteadWhy?
It's fine the first time. Repeat playthroughs and/or the DLC really do make you realise it's primarily "mash A to escape this poorly-written, endless string of text boxes"
>>59187161Pros:>sexo female characters>get powerhouse team of mons incredibly early, but still fairy challenging PvE battles>easy shiniesCons:>repetitive but that’s Pokemon for you>platforming/exploration element is kind of doodoo, only one city to explore unlike PLA which had different environments>the only ‘postgame’ without the $30 DLC are the Royale and shiny hunting once you finish all the sidequests
>>59187161Top 3 game in the series
Bump
>>59187205You know those playstation demo disks you used to get for free when you bought pizza? Imagine that much content but painfully stretched out into 40 hours with text and poorly done cutscenes.
>>59187161A bargain bin game with ONE CITY, so you actually got it for what it's worth kek
>>59187161No Serena, no Clement and Bonnie, and ugly Korrina.
>>59188762What the fuck were they thinking with this fucking game
>>59188762B-but it has canari
>>59187161Kino
>>59187161It's fun. Worse than legends arceus, but still a good time. Introduced a super cute scientist girl if you're into those.
>>59188762No Worst Girl is fine. But a game set in Lumiose without Bonnie or Clemont seems bizarre.
>>59187161The city is kinda comfy but the combat is horrendously boring. They somehow made a real time battle system less engaging than a turn based one.
>>59187161It's basically legends: arceus but better. Is it good? It's... okay. Some parts of it are dogshit, other things like (some) characters and OST are enjoyable. Slightly above mid but really good for shiny hunting if you do that.
>>59189882ZA's music is repetitive and mundane. PLA is much better in terms of exploration and music.
This game might possibly have the worst DLC in video game history I’m not exaggerating or joking. It is a fucking pile of shit.
>>59187161It's all right. Just stay away from the DLC. Seriously, don't buy it.
>>59187161A shit game
>>59189957Can someone explain this to me. Why does everyone say the DLC in this game is horrible.
>>59189976It is not only repetitive and monotonous, but completely luck-based. The novelty wears off extremely quickly and it then becomes a chore. But if you want to complete your Pokedex (which is kinda the whole point of the Legends games), you have to just keep doing it over and over and hope that you get lucky and that one mon you’re missing finally shows up. And if you don’t get lucky, you just gotta keep doing it.
>>59187161Pretty good. The DLC makes shiny hunting braindead easy so buy it if you care about this.
>>59190061What if I’ve already completed most of the pokedex from earlier games I’ve played? Are the legends games worthless?
>>59189798>IntroducedThat character is literally a decade and half old, retard coomer.
>>59189976The base game has you earning points fighting random trainers at night to trigger the next story progression to rise in rank from Z-A (with some convenient story reasons to skip a few.) At that point you defeat a new mega pokemon, do a fetch quest, fight an underling of the higher ranked trainer, then the trainer themselves, and repeat. The DLC revolves around dropping into randomly generated wormholes leading to one of a handful of maps that are a chunk of the city with some randomized obstacles. Those chunks either have a goal of catching a certain number of Pokemon and collecting a number of items or are a battle zone with a more straightforward defeat x number of trainers. Completing a wormhole gives you points towards a research goal. Once you have enough points you get a special wormhole to get a new mega Pokémon, fight double battles with the named characters as a part of the DLC story, then repeat with a higher point requirement. The DLC however requires gathering randomly generated berries while in the wormholes and making donuts. Also the randomly generated places could be a small area that barely gives any points or be populated with trainers that all use a type your team isn't built for. It just turns into a grind between major story events.
