If you lived in the Pokemon world what would you actually want to do as your lifestyle, would you still want to be a trainer/champion or something else. Also what Pokemon would you have on your team in that case (can be more than six if you think it warrants it)?
>>59197313I'm going to assume that, unlike the games, becoming champion is actually rather hard. So, frankly, I would like to be a trainer (And I would certainly have Pokemon) but I doubt I would be able to become a champion. Would at best want to become a gym leader. > Also what Pokemon would you have on your team in that case (can be more than six if you think it warrants it)?Assuming that you actually need to stick to one or two types (Because something else is too hard) I would generally stick to water/ice. Slowpoke, Sneasel/Weaville, and Piplup are probably the Pokemon I want most of all. Followed by Lapras, Frostlass, and Jynx.
Out innawoods with Kirlia wife
>>59197313A ace trainer on a post game route with 4 pokemon
>>59197313I would probably study biology and/or geology and go out there and explore.I would preferably only have pokemon in my party that can help with my studies and some a couple for personal defense.
>>59197313Which job allows me to be alone with children in the wilderness for months?
>>59197313Honestly I'd probably keep my profission of being a hentai artist, and have like only 2 or 3 Pokemon, tgat are my buddies rather than trained for full battle. So I would be an NPC, with the trainer class "Porn Artist"
>>59197376>can't even spell his pokemon partners' names right
I'd try and make video games like I try to do irl>Minccino for cleaning and cuddling>Pansage as a shouldermon>Whirlipede as one of my earliest "evolved" mons (because I'm sure it's harder than it seems to evolve mons)>either have after I'm "successful" or dream of getting a PorygonWeirdly puts me squarely in Unova. Maybe I'd be in or near Driftveil.

>>59197313You posted it. I’d by the universes Johnny bravo and autistic Pokémon husbandrist to my favorite shitmon >>59197670The problem is with post game dexes. Really ones up possibilities for your base. I doubt the base or post game dexes are even reflective of what you can find where in most of the regions, it’s seems purely for player experience rather than world building.>>59198861>taking government programs to introducing packs of Mightyena to regions scare joggers out of routes>using a legion of Aron to sniff deposits of stackables>using Aggron to terraform mineral rich locations with less then immediately useful topography like mountains coastal forests and deserts.>letting both loose in border regions to reduce illegal activity>retiring to a peaceful life as a torchic farmer at the end of the day. Imagine the eggs
>>59197313I'd probably do something akin to what Mohn was doing with Poke Pelago, like some sort of mix of the Pokemon Day-Care, Berry Farming and general Pokemon care just on a large scale. Would be neat if it was some sort of natural floating island (maybe a giant tree supported by a coral reef that just floats across the ocean), so I can travel to different regions. Maybe set-up a sort of cafe which provides something akin to PokeBlocks or Poffins or whatever the region's contest food item would be.I guess my main Pokemon would be more akin to house pets so probably an Espeon and Leafeon (they seem like the Eeveelutions that would be best suited to help out), maybe some Egg Pokemon that were given away like Cleffa and Elekid and maybe a Polteageist just cause it seems like it'd be a good fit.I'd definitely want a bunch of Pokemon that more so just live out in the gardens or the corals just to help keep the micro-ecosystem healthy. I'd imagine a lot of the local water-types would probably be able to do that on their own but maybe I'd have a Wailord or some Wishiwashi to pull the structure in case we end up in choppy waters and maybe a Dhelmise in case we need the structure to stay somewhere for a long period of time. As for the garden I mean pretty much any pollinator or just generally suitable Pokemon so probably Bug-Types like Combee, Burmy, Venonat & Larvesta and Grass-Types like Budew, Cherubi, Hoppip, Petilil, Pumpkaboo, Applin, Smoliv & Capsakid. Probably have other Pokemon like Pancham, Flabebe, Spritzee, Mankey & Teddiursa that would also just sorta live in the gardens.tl;drSeafolk villager who lives on a floating island/reef, runs a hybrid Day-Care and Berry Farm as well as a cafe that serves various foods. Main team is Espeon, Leafeon, Polteageist and whatever Pokemon I'm caring for at the time, but also would have semi-wild Water, Bug and Grass-Type Pokemon that help out around the island.
I’d probably want to be a sort of wanderer, traveling on foot and living off the land with my Pokemon. Training to be stronger together, not for battling, but for ourselves. Sort of like a mix between the hiker and black belt trainer classes. Otherwise I’d just like to help other people and Pokemon during my travels. The only Pokemon I would need is my tried and true companion, Slowbro. We’d spend a lot of time around the water so he could fish, swim or relax. I’m sure berries are abundant too, so hopefully we’d never want for food.
>>59197313If the world works like the game, I would want to try for a champion run. If like the anime, I would want to be a breeder of kinda rare Pokémon. One of the main things for me is how money works. Is it where 200 Poké is 200 Yen? Or is it 200 dollars? I know for me I've always read it as basically $2.00.
My team would just be my favourites. I'm not sure what job would require a Vileplume and a Poliwhirl though.
use Porygon line as my persona assistant (digital), bitcoin minerSmeargle to sell art(if I could obtain it) Hoopa to steal goods and resellGet rich or die trying
>>59199316It's $2, Pokedollars is based on Yen, there's no decimal, also I wouldn't worry about money going by the anime, whatever funds and random odd jobs Ash and co. did throughout the series were enough to get them by.
>>59197313>Pokemon breederpeople will pay top dollar to have certain Pokemon
>>59197313Assuming whatever I do will work out somehow, I'd become a traveling musician with my team. I would play the leads, my Kommo-o would take care of percussion, my Espeon would play keyboard, my Weavile would play bass, and my Meowscarada would sick backup and handle the stage show aspect of the performance. I'd grab a gym badge or two to help with promotion, but not go any farther than that.
>>59197313>become a trainer>travel around to build my dream team>retire innawoods somewhere quiet with good scenery>go into town once a month for poke health checks and to check the news for any upcoming disasters>when the septic tanks are full, go to Mt. Coronet and empty them all on Spear PillarMy dream team would be Gothitelle, Golurk, Eevee, Mimikyu, Porygon2, and Charjabug
>>59197313Become an archeologist and be the guy that revives your fossil.I would also try to silently kill Cara Liss and take her place for sins against science, archeology and Archeus itself
Honestly, with Rotom, Porygon and all the weird digitization stuff going on in the pokemon world, I feel like it would be really interesting to be a sysadmin, programmer or computer technician. As for my actual team, aside from the obligatory tech mons, I'd have a Haunter, a Joltik and a Sprigatito.
>>59197313a photographer! I'd have a small bunch of pokemon that'd help me be safe and secure in my day-to-day life, kinda like mini assistants, all the while befriending the wild pokemon near me! I already do the photography thing anyway, the only thing different is I don't have a buncha pokemon to be with me while I take my photos ;w;as for the pokemon themselves? would be:Grookey (partner pokemon and general assistant)Piloswine (cutesy "muscle" pokemon that would assist in stressful situations)Drampa (first ever pokemon that would act like a substitute caretaker so I could leave home by myself without panicking to death)and a Mr Mime (also a safety net pokemon that assists with day-to-day life and to make sure I don't wander off into dangerous places)though I feel I'd probably also have a dog pokemon, too. maybe a Dachsbun?
>grow up in pokemon world>first pokemon at 10>go on adventure>likely just a run of the mill mediocre trainer>never really accomplish anything extraordinary, but have fun>get older and there are societal expectations for me to get a "real job" since im not good enough to be an elite trainer, gym leader, or similar>Pokemon Centers won't even give me free services anymore because I'm too old.So I was forced to become a Rocket Grunt. Criminal organizations are the only way I can still travel and catch pokemon as an adult, they'll pay my way so long as I steal pokemon from children. It's terribly dishonest and downright evil, but it was either this or get a "real job." Sorry...
>>59197313>If you lived in the Pokemon world what would you actually want to do as your lifestyleBecause I have a reason to go outside now, I would definitely try to become a champion, mostly as an excuse to meet new people>Also what Pokemon would you have on your team in that caseThey say being a great trainer is all about winning with the Pokemon you like so I'm gonna have to go with Dewott, Maractus, Spinda, Pichu, Lurantis and maybe a Cinderace or MeowscaradaThen when I'm done either by actually becoming champion or failing miserably at the first of the E4 or whatever region equivalent, I'm just gonna go back home and have a massive orgy with my team
>>59201393>try to become a championwouldnt it get somewhat tiring since literally everyone else in the circuit is attempting to?
>>59201434Something something "it's about the journey, not the destination"
I'd ask Arceus super nicely to make me immortal so I could spend the rest of eternity fighting pokemon until I can figure out the human upper limit of what Pokemon a human could reasonably beat without dying.
>>59197313technology shiller
I'd probably assemble a harem. Some for me to fuck, some to fuck me, some for more esoteric definitions of sex. Probably a slow period of acquisition of pokemon perverts that are down for it. Only enough battle focus to catch wilds and maybe evolve some pokemon. Probably try to get a psychic or something early to act as translator, since somehow I doubt just speaking with heartfelt passion will be enough to get ideas across.
>>59197313>>59197376>my careerIn this same vein, being Champ would be cool but I’m guessing it would be incredibly difficult much like it would be to become a Pokemon world champion irl. I’m a little torn, but I’d probably study to become a professor while also being a trainer on the side.>typesBeing a professor, I feel like I could handle training and raising a few more types of Pokemon than the average joe, but the handful of types I would use the most comfortably are Grass, Water, Normal, and Flying. I’d probably be a little uncomfortable around Bug types, like Misty was. And I would have a strong interest but limited experience with Ghost and Psychic type mons.>realistic core teammy team would probably still be relatively young, only one or two fully evolved mons.>Swampert>Skitty>Eevee>Dartrix>Wingull>Porygon 2Based on my age, I’d likely be still working on my Pokedoctorate or be a young new professor. I’d have a few badges in my possession, but not enough to go pro. I’d spend most of my time researching Pokemon, publishing findings, and educating kids about Pokemon species, care, and habitats.
>>59197313I've made a gym leader OC in the past but I don't know where it went. Her name was Acacia, she was a fairy type Gym Leader. That's kinda what I'd want to do.
>>59197313I don’t know how I could limit myself to only 6 pokemon. I would definitely want to live around lots of grass type pokemon, and I love ocean pokemon as well. >>59197313I wanna be this guy
>>59201095As far as I can tell pokecenters sprung socially from the the pre-modern convention of pokemon wielders basically being the town militia and border guards in setting, so their healthcare was provided for by the state since they always needed to be in fighting shape. Then Pokemon tech leapt light years seemingly overnight, Pokemon became accessible to the masses, could be digitalized and subsequently healed for assumedly cheap enough that rioting masses and dead discarded Pokemon lying everywhere was a more expensive alternative than making general, non exotic care free. That or being a trainer is kind of like military/community service and you’re expected to contribute to society with your Pokemon between runs.Team Rocket exist for reasons in particular i can’t remember but Giovani basically wanted to advance society the hard and illegal way rather than play ball. Stealing Pokemon was just cover and a side gig for grunts most of the time. Basically independent extortion rings set up by the street levels to enforce anarcho-tyranny on their time so long as it didn’t get in the way of important operations
>>59197313I would want to be a Pokémon like a Ninetales, Absol or Braixen and go into Mystery Dungeosn to search treasure, do missions and hunt for bounties and no trainer will ever be able to catch me.

>>59201824Like was said in the OP>(can be more than six if you think it warrants it)I probably should've worded that better but yeah, if you have an occupation that would have you interacting with more than 6 Pokemon like a Breeder, Rancher, Fisherman, Ranger, etc. then by all means list as many as you want.Hell, even for a Pokemon Trainer/Champion, they can go more than six, given that in the anime we see multiple characters including Ash himself have more than six Pokemon on rotation during some of their journeys.
>>59197313daycare. I wouldn't want a profession where I just keep making them beat the shit out of eachother. Taking care of them while people are off on cruises or whatever seems much more chill and fun.Not sure on a full team but I'd probably get an Arcanine. I'm good with dogs so it'd probably be easy to train as a growlithe, , not a biohazard or particularly difficult to keep like some pokemon, simple to evolve without repeatedly killing random animals, and also strong enough even with little training to handle any rowdy pokemon I happen to be taking care of that get out of hand and need a little discipline.
i'll be a wandering name rater with my ace pokemon,$norlax (pronounced SNOR-LAX)
>>59201872>That or being a trainer is kind of like military/community service and you’re expected to contribute to society with your Pokemon between runs.huh, that's a neat idea.
>>59202432>anon thinks daycare workers aren't making them battle eachotherHow do you think they gain levels, bro? Did you think your step count was just fucking magical? Did those Daycare trainers in Hoenn with 6 mons on their team just leave your memory or something? Pokemon daycares are literally just adults pitting your loved ones against other for their own amusement just like the average Somali daycare does for human children.
