Can somebody explain the regigigas loreI heard that the west didn't get the full story and it has something to do with regigigas trying to fight arceus and failing and it has to do with the platesI can't find videos on youtube on it, most are just explaining things from ages ago with no new updages
>>59200724What if he’s like an extension of Arceus Thats gone rouge and now he wants his kids to settle down before they get taken away and he has to pay child support
>>59200724It's all just mistranslated and likely no longer canon bullshit from the Teraleak
>>59200724the diamon and pearl manga, blank plate and the regis being called legendary giants imply that regigigas is one of the original giants.
>>59200724>Can somebody explain the regigigas loreit has no loreregischizos made up some headcanon
>>59200724Pokemon lore tends to never dive deep so it’s open to theories and fan speculation. It’s obvious they make it up as they go
Arceus is the demiurg and Regigigas together with his siblings is about to break free from his illusion bot Arceus got mad and had his brothers killed and imprisoned him or something so he made new brothers to challnge the demiurg again
>>59200724That's literal fanfic one single schizo spams 24/7 here on 4chan and keeps trying to pass off as canon because "he knows Japanese and Japanese came with that that theory"(they didn't that's just more schizo delusions).
It's an assumption of the mentioned Giants in the Plate lore being Gigas. The issue is the devs outright said the giants in the lore of Arceus' emergence were NOT pokémon. My own pet theory is the "giants" are personifications of the elemental Types analogous to the Titans of Greek mythology (that Zeus defeated for the Athenian Pantheon to take prominence). The writings found on the Plates in Gen 4 and Legends: Arceus' subsequent re-ordering of the lore scraps to place three specifically in order (The power of defeated giants infuses this Plate, The rightful bearer of a Plate draws from the Plate it holds, The powers of Plates are shared among Pokémon) back this up, by mentioning Arceus' Multitype ability, the Type-boosting effect a pokémon holding one receives in general and by stating all Plates collectively share the pwoers of all pokémon. The giants are primordial personifications of the elemental energies that infuse the universe and Arceus' defeat of them opened up the elemental affinities of pokémon from that moment forth.
>>59200724The story we have isn't incomplete. It's just fanfiction, which isn't mentioned by Teraleak and is also invalidated by Blank Plate.
>>59200724>Can somebody explain the regigigas loreRegigigas moves continents with ropes, creates golems in his image from natural materials, and together they seek to protect humanity. Humans fear the regis' powers and seal them away. Regigigas has been asleep for billions of years, this has weakened him somewhat, so he needs time to become fully active again (slow start)>I heard that the west didn't get the full story and it has something to do with regigigas trying to fight arceus and failing and it has to do with the platesHeadcanon
>>59200724The only concrete lore, as told in the games, is that Regigigas towed continents long ago and created the other Regis.Everything else is pure headcanon based on interpretations of Regigigas's speculated connection to the Primordial Giants, the entities born of Arceus's eggshell fragments who it fought and defeated in order to acquire and harness the power of Type Energy, which subsequently became the founding essence of the Pokemon universe.
>The giants are not pokemon.>The giants were killed to create the 18 plates that contain the essence of their type.>Normal plate imbued with the essence of normalcy exists.I've heard more credible theories than that.
>>59201285This comes with the assumption that Arceus at its full Creator God level is a Pokemon, which is a likely misstep in understanding the mythos. The normal type plate simply hasn't shown up until PLA because Arceus' avatar, by default, was already normal, so having a normal plate would be redundant, even if it makes more sense to have it anyway for consistency. And since the plates had a story purpose in PLA, rather than being scattered collectibles with vague lore, they decided it was time to intro the normal plate.Regigigas having it is simple logistics rather than any big winks or nods to Regignosis, GameFreak saw "oh yeah, we have this stupid idiot normal type legendary, let's assign it the normal plate so we don't have to give it to a random alpha like Alpha Vespiquen having the rock plate for some reason" and that was that.
>>59201300I know, my post highlights that the normal-type giant is already dead because the blank plate exists. So the theory about Regigigas can't work for obvious reasons btw
>>59200724>Arceus is in an egg>Egg breaks>Giants made from the primordial egg broken shell pieces attack Arceus for the crime of making existance>Arceus wins the fight>The arceus plates say they came from giants>Regigigas holds the normal plate in L-A and awakens by using the 3 plates associated with his little regisReading between the lines, it appears regigigas was the sole surviving giant from the battle with Aus/Arceus. It's also possible that the reason he built the little regis is an attempt to remake his fallen brothers, or maybe just to make something that reminds him of them. Now we'll see a torrent of people yelling "HEADCANON HEADCANON" as if you didn't explicitly ask for the lore from the leaks which we clearly know is thus far unconfirmed within official canon. This could easily change if they decide they want to add it in since several beta ideas have eventually made it into games at a later date.
>>59200724>>59201285>>59201786It’s worth noting that they did actually seem to consider making the giant Regigigas in a different draft of the myth, just not the one where the giants were all non-Pokemon egg fragments. A later draft of the giant says it was “cursed with slowness” for its transgressions, which does seem to fit Regigigas. The problem is that, of course, it’s incongruent with the other drafts. In one, the giant is the dark half of Arceus and seems to have been an early idea for what ended up becoming Giratina. In another, the giant is split into three and becomes Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza. In yet another variant of the myth, the giant seems to be Sinnoh or Mt. Coronet itself, with Palkia and Dialga having been torn out from its eyes. “Regigigas is the giant” is as valid of a take as “Giratina is the giant” or “Rayquaza is the giant” essentially.
>>59201786The art made Regigigas color markings too eyelike. They need to make the circle bigger.
>59200800>59200949>59201002>59201169>59201213samefag
>>59201819i ve never seen “cursed with slowness” in teraleak and he never makes the connection with regigigas
>>59200724>Pla was very clear on the fact that the Regis have no lore or ties to sinnoh mythology as a whole outside of regigigas being a gen 4 mon>regitards still parrot their teraleak fanfic (just if not less canon than the typedo one) because nobody on this board actually play the gamesthere’s your new lore bro
>>59201300gotta love how plass being such a badly designed game too shit to include held items permanently fucked over arceus and regigigas lore
>>59200724Regignosis more or less goes as followsThere were giants that existed before Arceus, and the world was in a primordial state.Arceus manifested, and the world changed in responseThe giants responded violently to the new world, and attacked Arceus to return the world to what it was priorArceus defeated the giants, and either absorbed their power, or left them as husks in the form of the plates. The sole exception was the giant who would be warped and reformed into what is now Regigigas. Whether Regigigas is actually a surviving giant, or just something made in their image is unclear. Why Regigias was the exception is also unclear. Either it was made to suffer eternally for the giants actions, or it was a pragmatic case of it being useful for labor, or something else. Regigigas makes the other regis to attempt to remake the old giants because it misses its friends.
>>59201786Teraleak's content isn't headcanon. It's official content, but it's not canon because it's an outdated version. The theory about Regigigas is headcanon because it's not covered in the games or by Teraleak. It's just fans inventing a story and exaggerating it.
>>59202013Fanfiction
>>59202049YesBut that's more or less how the theory goes
>>59202013They were made from the shells of the egg that birthed Arceus. The egg shattered and Arceus was born. The shells then formed into the giants and they attacked Arceus for some reason, maybe because they rejected the life that they were given.
>>59200724The lore is that he towed an island to rape humans with the help of the other Regis. But they were imprisoned in temples because the humans were terrified by their barbaric acts. This is a powerful message to raise awareness and fight against rape
>>59201786Wtf, Regigigas had a tragic past like this?
>>59201786Schizofanfic>>59202081Retarded
>>59202258Don't defend the Regirapists they must be sealed away
>>59202175Regigigas has no tragic past. He created the regis to protect the ancient peoples; that's the role they've had since RS and nothing else has been added to that.
>>59202369The regis do not protect humans they try to rape them
>>59200724>Can somebody explain the regigigas loreArceus’ birth spawned creation. To give meaning to the concept of creation, Oblivion was created, symbolized by the Giats, especially Regigigas, who opposes her. The Normal plate is the “Normal” state of reality; nothing.
>he's still goingregignosis has mindbroken this man
>>59202415Gigas is not the normal giant, he has already been transformed into a plate that contains all his essence which is not nothing/empty
>>59200724Arceus created Regigigas to push the continental landmass and assist humans like a good golem throughout the different eras!
>>59202484like that ?
>>59202507This is quite possibly the dumbest shit I have ever seen in my life.
>>59202507I thought it was the Medieval Age but it's okay.
>>59202507I wish I could beat the crap out and rape this anon for posting this absolutely and genuinelly retarded shit.
The only truth about the Regis is that they are against humanity
>>59202537your reaction is worrying; it makes sense given the braille lore of ruby and sapphire
>>59202507Game Freak was ingenious in adding Regieleki and Regidrago
>>59202507Regis have always been close to humans in the lore, but the prehistoric age is a good idea, I hadn't thought of that
>>59202507Reginuclear wen?
>>59202079>maybe because they rejected the life that they were given. The Teraleak describes their motivation as falling under the Jungian Fear of Existing. The Primordial Giants are basically Arceus shitting its pants at suddenly being conscious and aware after being a formless oblivion for an unfathomable period of timelessness prior, and their battle is Arceus overcoming that fear.
>>59200949His Japanese is poorly translated as well
>>59200949its the only story from the tera leak that was made in good faith out of respect for the pokemon involved, and could conceivably fit in the canon, everything else was just beastiality smut and rape shit.
>>59202507>>59202575And Regigigas is a kind of incarnation of the earth, which was covered in moss during its sleep. A force of nature that, throughout the ages, has pulled the continents; making it responsible for the planet's plate tectonics. The Regis group is based,
>>59202728Damn... can't believe Regigigas was so inspirational that it gave one specific Snorlax the life's goal to job as badly as Gigas did.
>>59202728its interesting to see that from pangaea to now, we've gone through all the eras linked to the five regis
>>59200949No surprise that a jap worshipper is retarded.
Fuck Aus.
