>Winds and Waves is the final Pokemon game of the current era, The Pokemon Company wants a clean break and to create a more consistent identity for the games
>BW/BW2 remakes are the first of multiple projects in an "HD-2D" style, returning to animated sprites in a 3D world
>Pokemon Rainbow and Monochrome are a consolidated remake of gens 1-4 and will follow in the same style. Originally it was proposed as having hundreds of players exploring the world at a time, but has been downscaled into a coop experience where up to 4 friends can drop in on your game sessions, with the addition of Sinnoh on top of the original plan.
>Part of development includes creating timeless evergreen sprites that gamefreak can utilize for decades to come, much like they did with 3D models during X and Y development
>Likewise, Gen 11 will be presented in this same style, described as the most cinematic and nostalgic entry in the franchise. A celebration of Pokemons history.
>Legends is going to be the exclusive home of open-area 3d games going forward. Legends intends to bridge the gap between ZA and Winds and Waves, finally splitting the franchise into two pillars: Mainline turn based HD2D, and Action RPG Legends.
>Gen 6 remakes and onward will continue to consolidate the franchises installments into this format, with the intention being to adapt X and Y, and even the eventual open world mainline games, into the sprite based "legacy" style. Ironically, Gamefreak is looking forward to a time where their "realistic" games can be "appreciated in the style of a traditional video game"
>This is all being done to simplify and reduce the cost of developing mainline games so that they can continue to be released every 3 years without issue, while Legends games can have extra time spent and release every 5-7 years.

>HD-2D fanfiction

It's bullshit, but I believe it.

This is why the OPs bullshit is honestly believable.

Gamefreak would essentially need to make the equivalent of a romhack every 3 years using the same assets over and over instead of pretending to know how to develop an actual video game, and it can be done in the name of returning to form

It's impressive that this fake shit seems to have maybe heard of some of the Terraleak shit, but also is just completely making shit up or talking about unsubstantiated leaks like Gen 5 remakes (not on Game Freak's docket until after Gen 11, specifically mentions BDSP as something they don't want to repeat so either they won't outsource it or if they do won't rush it out like BDSP was and unlike Pokopia it wasn't on their release schedule). The only thing that sounds remotely believable is Project Seed being downscaled, but given it both didn't have much about it planned out and they also have a lot more time from the Switch 2 delays it could be anywhere from canceled to shockingly on track by this point.

With how video games are designed now, they'd arguably be better off expanding on a single game over the course of a console generation instead of pumping out a two whole different generations on at least partially different engines. You might say "but money" to which I respond "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe". Seriously, that shit sold more than SS and SV combined. Animal Crossing New Horizons has sales remotely competing with that combination as well, and AC was never a huge seller for Nintendo.

I'm glad we've got an actual Game Freak employee here to tell us what their plans are five years from now
>>
this is the good shit, I dont care if its fake better than the blurry AI trash
>>
>>59201245
Fake as shit but if true I hope it's actually good spritework and not just regular DS tier pixels with overdone lighting.

>bw was a soft reboot and almost killed the franchise
>4chuds on /vp/edo think TPC would ever let that happen again
lol

You can't just drop your wet dreams in here and claim they are leaks

Sinnoh IS gen 4, retard

>>59202374
He's referring to the previously confirmed leak that described a pokemon MMO that went 1-3

>a new generation selling as much as a literal spinoff(plass)
Jesus Christ I didn’t know bw flopped THAT badly
