I also played for the first time recently and I had heard the pacing was bad but good fucking lord I was not prepared for just how shitty it has. You go through a Team Flare gauntlet and fight Lysandre like 3 times in the span of 1 hour and the only thing that changes between his team is they gain 2 levels each time (which you will easily outpace him in even if you have Exp. Mega Stones were said to be scarce originally, with Korrina's family being special. I think they wanted to play it safe with the difficulty. Then after Megas proved to be popular, they started giving them to everybody.
