There should be a third option that works like it does in the anime: You're allowed to switch between KO's, but the game doesn't tell you what the trainer's next Pokémon is.

The difference is any post-Gen V game doesn't alter the difficulty at all when you change to Set because you'll always be 10 levels above the opponents unless you're training like 50 team members at once
