The Japanese text of the main game explicitly doesn't use any cardinal directions in the actual text, meaning they went out of their way to make it so if they ever have to orient it the other way around there's no contradiction. Crown Tundra on the other hand has that shit all over the place for some reason, it's like a completely different writer was in charge (which might be true).
