Reminds me of the VGC cheating scandal a few years back, where several e-celeb American players got banned for genning. When they bitched on Twitter about how they had the right to gen because otherwise they would have to actually play SV (or maybe it was SwSh) -- all while they actually just paid other people to play through the games for them to access necessary checkpoints -- there were, of course, past tweets of them defending those very games (games which they later admitted they had never played) from criticism from fans who did play them. And when they were forced to actually play the games, they bitched about the very things they shat on others for bitching about before.

theres very little reason to keep playing once you hit masters. the grind to champion isnt very appealing unless youre super tryhard and unmployed since there are so many sweats playing right now, and its not as if playing for playings sake is much fun since once you seen one ladder team youve seen them all (zard y sun core)

I'm playing one or two battles on it a day and I just hit ultra ball in both singles and doubles earlier today! I like champions a lot. I used to always make random new accounts on Showdown every week and give up at around 1200 rating in OU or randbats every time and reset, this is the first time I'm actually trying and I'm having a great time.
