SoDid you buy FRLG anyways? What languages (plural) did you buy?
>>59211765No, I refuse to pay for Pokemon slop anymore. Series has always been dogshit, and now that I've grown up and realized that, I refuse to financially support it.
>>59211765No. I’m not even one of those people who act like this is some of the worst stuff they’ve done but out of all the games this is one I’ve probably played the most and have no need for it. I don’t care about Home (not like it’s available yet lmao) and Shiny hunting the event Legendaries is whatever.
>>59211765Playing leaf green for the first time. My Butterfree is named Bobby with a modest nature.
>>59211765>Oh cool, they did it. Let's see the opt->*Gatekeeping most behind a subscription model*>*FOMA collection*>*Overpriced GBA ports*Somehow, in some way, they fucked that up too.
>>59211765I will buy it eventually, I just have other games to play so I haven't yet.
>>59211765No I’m morally oppposed to buying pokemon because the product nowadays is ass. The only one I bought recently is ZA at Costco for $30 because I felt it was a fair price even if the quality was low.
>>59211865>morally oppposed to buying pokemon>buys it anyway because it was cheaper. They still get the money. The only morally clean way nowadays is buying their products second hand, which is something with a documented history to be something they don't like but can't do anything legally about it.
>>59211878Yeah that’s how I get my other switch Pokemon games but at $30 it’s such a steal that I really can’t be mad. Costco will be the one ordering less of it if it was such a shit game that no one bought it and they had to do over 50% discounts to clear inventory
>>59211865Was it a download key or a full cartridge?
NoI like FRLG, but I also have self-respectWhat pisses me off more than anything is that every single time I think this franchise is going to do something cool or exciting or just SOMETHING that will make me a fan again, it manages to fuck it up out of sheer greed and/or laziness. And what's worse is that they invited all the comparisons by releasing next to a Mega Man collection that actually did so much more.
People who spent $80+ for PLZA complaining about spending $20 for FRLGlol
People complain about buying a new experience vs a 20 year old one they can emulate on their phone lol
>>59211765Yeah. I'd rather buy old games I like than new ones I don't.
>>59211942>Costco will be the one ordering less of it if it was such a shit game that no one bought it and they had to do over 50% discounts to clear inventoryThat's more a thing with the store. You still don't provide them money no matter how much of a steal this is.
>>59211765>Did you buy FRLG anyways? No because I already owned them. The only feature that would make me buy them is online play.Hilariously, this means I'm going to buy DP a second time
>>59211958A full cartridge. It’s the switch 2 edition too
>>59211796Your the gayest faggot ever lol
Nah. 20 bucks is too much for what's essentially a rom and the games themselves weren't really good.
>>59211765NoI can play fire red a billion different and better ways on my phone
I didn't even pirate it because I don't feel like updating my Switch.
>>59211765I've owned LeafGreen since before the average poster here was born, why would I buy it on the Switch?
>>59211765But metadoom is epic
I can't think of a Pokemon game I'd be less likely to buy a modern release of than FRLG. As a modern version of Kanto, they're ridiculously outdated at this point so you're better off just playing the Gen 1 games for the charm of actually seeing where the series started. Plus, as someone who mostly likes Pokemon for the collecting aspect, FRLG is worthless. The Kanto mons are ludicrously common. Who cares if it has Home compatibility if I can boot up SV and catch as many Charmanders as I want? I'd sooner buy Let's Go Pikachu again.
>>59211765I almost bought it for the Home compatability, but it didn't release with Home functionality so I just ran a randomized rom on my phone instead and sort of forgot about the switch re-release.Can you port your mons yet?
>>59213933Pretty real, FRLG are maybe the most dated games as they were essentially a choice by Masuda: "if Gen 3 kills us, let's go down in a blaze of glory!" If Kanto had a bit more professional design behind it, it'd be FRLG.
