I used all the season's VP to grind for some shit meme team recommended by a PokéTuber. Go to sub menu, look at the achievements. You can collect points there very easy. There is currently a recruit line up that guarantees the top 31 used Pokemon will be part of each recruitment.

This game is either you mirror match with top Pokemon and pray your accuracy is higher and you use protect at the right time, or you just lose. If you like repetition and no reward, doubles is for you. You seem to already not be a fan of that from singles though. Doubles is unfortunately MUCH worse.

That only happens due to the "most recent gen" rule but that's always been the case since gen III. Pokemon recruited in Champions can only stay in Champions. If the player invests in paying actual money to collect shiny Pokemon or create teams, it will be for no reason since Champions is a stand alone and not considered a main line game. Battle pass items and Pokemon earned are also stuck in Champions.

Pokemon Champions is just a battle simulator for autistic players who can't afford a real game.

I actually haven't seen a Golurk team in Master Ball for about 2 weeks now. Golurk was rampant in Ultra Ball 2&1 though. Personally, the past week has been a ton of Aerodactyl sand teams and some Meowstics. Everyone seems to keep an Excadrill or Corviknight in pocket to deal with Floette and Clefable.

For whatever reason I've also seen a few full Eeveelution teams and Charizard/Venusaur/Meganium/Whimsicott on repeat in Master Ball. I think that's people just playing for fun though since you can't derank down from Master Ball. Drought/tailwind has become too easy to counter, mostly due to being a day 1 strategy. Archaludon can still hold it's own if you can survive/counter 1-hit Body Press opponents.

Yes, but I'm not one of these autistic VGC freaks trying to turn a hobby into a career. It was a fun few days getting into Master Ball, but once you hit Master Ball rank and realize there's no point in continuing, it loses all point. I think the balance would be too long/difficult for a full Pokedex in an independent game focusing on doubles without the playing finding cheese strategies on day 1 that couldn't be patched without massive backlash. Plus after endless balancing they have to appease the fandom with a "good" game. It would be a massive project that would probably be thankless as usual since the usual "Pokemon reviewer" crowd are absolute trash. I would love a modern doubles game you could play offline if it had depth.

In some cases, it really is nerves. There's a few examples like Ropz in Counter Strike who didn't show up on LAN with a crowd but did when he played in person on a controlled environment at the offices of PUG company. Also if you haven't played LAN before, it really is different to playing online. Even 10 ping to 50 is a big difference.
Some games do have LAN qualifiers, again like Counter Strike, but will typically have an open qualifier to go to LAN for non-big name teams. For the bigger games, there's just no way to have an inclusive LAN qualifier for as many people as you'd want to have involved. Just too many teams and that would require too much hardware. If you're just inviting top teams to a qualifier, then you're just running an invite league with an additional stage (this happens too). Cost on LANs is actually really big for most games. CS only gets away with having as many LAN tournaments as it does due to all the gambling money pumping it up.
