>creates the best post game>drops it for no reason Does GameFreak hate Pokemon fans? I understand dropping gimmicks but games need a post game. The battle frontier was perfect
It's casual filter. Just look at how Champions demoralizes newcomers today. Not enough people played.
>>59216779Because phones exist, it means that children are literally too retarded to even play games these days.
>>59216796Smart phones were a mistake
>>59216779Why waste time including this? We need more megas and team building QOLs so we can all start getting ready for VGC, stat.
>>59216882>add a bunch of team building QoLs so that if the frontier existed it would be much more accessible>it just never comes back>some of the more rng-related shit also got nerfed and still, no battle facilitieshmm
battle tree mogsthe only worthwhile facility in either battle frontier was the battle tower, the other facilities were just gimmicks that you never played again after getting the gold symbol/printbattle tree is the best iteration of battle tower
>>59216962Power creep was pretty fucking bad, not to mention the unresolved AI exploits from Gen 5 and 6. Gen 4 was arguably the best solely for not having as many problems, but at least Gen 5 doubles were basically fine. Still better than the Battle Maison and the dogshit SS one.As for the Battle Frontier itself, Gen 4's is slightly weak because they don't differentiate themselves enough. Battle Arcade and Battle Castle are a little too similar, one is just RNG while the other is resource building. Gen 3's has better variety, but occasionally that comes at the expense of them actually being good (Battle Palace is godawful) and there's so many of them that there's still overlap (Battle Pyramid is great but Trainer Tower is the exact same shit but worse, even if you could scan e-Reader cards). Gen 5's collection of shit arguably has the best variety, but the quality of the actual battles are somewhat arguable. Like the PWT is solid for their bootleg Battle Factory, actual real high level teams in the Download tournaments, and the Type Expert tournaments, but when you get into the Champions tournament which is arguably supposed to be the base game's biggest challenge it's kind of just there. And Black Tower/White Treehollow being more like Story Mode Mt. Battle than a traditional facility definitely hurts it a bit. If they actually bothered to progress these concepts maybe we'd have the best of all of them, but USUM gave us bootleg Battle Factory and zero other games since B2W2 even tried, it's all just different flavors of raids.
>>59216962Battle Tree was cute >>59217006Variety is never an issue.
