>touted as the greatest Pokemon video game of all time >already dead and forgotten
>>59220070I would love to try it but Switch 2 exclusive and no emulator yet so it literally doesn't matter to me.
>>59220070>achieved success>isn't milked to infinitybased
Is there even combat?
But enough about SHARTpions
>>59220089combat (at least in the main series) only exists to prop up industry plants
>>59220070>NOOO you can't just finish a game and stop playing YOU MUST PLAY THE SAME GAME FOR MONTHS!! Man, shut the fuck up you retarded autist
>>59220089it's not about that?
why does the pokemon company put effort into non-mainline games. i don't understand. why doesn't Koei or chunisoft help with mainline games.
>>59221209because Game Freak is too arrogant to accept help. And even though Game Freak are lazy retards who hate Pokemon and only doing this out os spite, they're an full equal partner in TPC so Creatures and Nintendo can't just kicked them out and replace them with Koei/Chunisoft or another company
>>59220070>it's like Dragon quest Builders>but without the RPG elements>without combat>with animal crossing's timegates>withe the most boring world to explore>with RNG habitat bullshit
>>59221209Non-mainline games are unironically the best games for the IP though. Well, mostly. There are a couple stinkers in the lineup. Still, the mainlines have been bottom of the barrel efforr advertisements for their merch lines since the DS-era ended.
>>59221244You're acting like the spin-offs also didn't go immediately to shit after the DS (arguably after Gen 4, Rumble and Conquest were alright but the PMD game was kinda dogshit and what else was there aside from the typing game?). New Snap was great though, knocked it out of the park with that one.
>>59221261Damn. No, yeah, you are right. My favorite games are old as sin now. Being a Pokemon fan is suffering. At least our lines of toys and collectibles are MVP, still doesn't make the game situation any easier to swallow.
>>59221209Why spend additional time and money you don't have to because these things sell like fucking hotcakes regardless of the abysmal state they're in.
>>59220070I still play it every day. I'm predicting an update in the next month, once the Sableye event has come and gone
>>59220070People are still playing it, there's just not much to talk about since this is basically pokemon minecraft. More frequent events would be nice but at least there's a new one in 2 days.
>>59221209I'm glad they got a decent developer for Pokopia because I like it more than the main series already. It has pretty much everything good about pokemon except for battles and you've got that covered in Champions. If anything, this could be the first step towards us being freed from gamefreak.
