I didn’t mind BDSP nearly as much as other people an had a good time with them. Helps that I didn’t get it for full price though.

DP were bad games.
Platinum took the worst parts of DP (gameplay speed, bad Pokedex) and improved upon them, so it was a pretty good game.
Legends Arceus provided an interesting twist on the formula, though one that doesn't really hold up to multiple playthroughs. It's an okay game.
BDSP put a new coat of paint on DP, improved it a little bit with some QOL, but not enough to make you forget that you are playing a remake of a not particularly good game that is 20 years old. It's a bad game.
