The best possible scenario has Blue win at Oak's lab and the Route 22 fight and has a 2-2 record after Lavender Town. Otherwise it could be 0-4. By the champion fight, it's either he's never won against Red and that would be scary, or he's lost at least the last 5 battles in a row against Red which would still be fairly scary knowing that that guy is your first challenger for the championship.
