Ah yeah. I remember the sinnohtoddlers spent years swearing DP remakes wouldn't happen too. But they still went and made one, given the series had diversified itself to the point side releases had no impact on the new Gen pair VGC-backed games so seems there's every chance they DO remake BW, given they don't have to treat it like it's somehow VGC important and have to bother taking Gems to the battle engine of WW.

BDSP was only made because they feared PLA would be a hated flop and didn't want more bad years of Pokemon, especially when they likely knew SV was going to be a buggy broken mess on launch and just had to suck it up to meet their own personal deadline as to ensure the franchise kept chugging along.

I'll just point out the 903.6 million garnered off BDSP guarantees another crack at the trope, to gauge whether it's still worth making another remake in the future. But given how remakes have all historically performed, its abundantly clear they're going to continue to produce them.Beacuse they're easy money and a great way to burn a whole entire year of franchise itme to afford Game Freak a longer dev cycle if needed (SV-WW was going to be 4 years anyway, before it got further pushed back, but this may be the new normal, as games DO take similar timeframes when attempting to make realistic worlds).
