98ers which one had a bigger impact on you, Gen 3 or Gen 4?
Gen 5. Gen 3 was annoying (played fire red first in first grade). Gen 4 was slow and I had no idea of the internet so couldn't utilize it to its fullest. Gen 5, everything came together

Gen 3 because I shared my first gen 4 playthrough with my pokemon, and then I felt too old for pokemon for like 3 years and started playing cod and halo and then I got a clue and actually chilled and played Nintendo again

I had an older brother so I started with Kanto and Johto and Gen 3 was just kind of another gen, Gen 4 ended up being the gen that made everyone around me quit on the series and I also found Sinnoh shit so it would be that by virtue.

Late 97er here. Ruby/Sapphire were the newest games when i started getting into Pokemon but i got used copies of Silver and Yellow instead (they were really not expensive, like less than 10 dollars each). The first brand new game i got was Leaf Green.
