Magcargo should gain a Storm Drain-esque ability that lowers the opponents accuracy if hit by a water move. It's Pokedex Entry says about water vaporizing on contact, it feels odd that it can't do that naturally.

It is a shame that these cool shitmons like Magcargo and Carnivine were released all those gens ago, because if they were released today they would probably get some coolass unique ability and maybe a signature move too. It might still be shit but it would be cool shit you can maybe build a team around. There's definitely a sort of cut-off after which individual Pokémon were suddenly given much more care into giving them unique gameplay quirks to make them stand out, at around gen 6-7 (no brainrot intended)
