Out of two quadrupedal cat starters, two stood up, cats are the 2nd most popular pet worldwide. Dogs are the most popular, so the most likely outcome is Game Freak turn it into a bipedal shillmon (akin to Incineroar and Cinderace) to catch the widest part of the market.
