Why can't pokemon games into good looking anime graphics?
Why did they forsake the anime aesthetics after SwSh and go for some shitty pseudo realistic pixar style?

Game Freak sees themselves as a "global" company making games for a "global" audience so they reject anything that'd make their product feel too Japanese.
>>
Because you're worthless as a concern to their bottom line, thus they don't need to do anything you wish, want or desire.

Except they put in a curry minigame into camping, because Japanese people cook curry when they go camping britbongs cook barbecues when they go camping.

I don't agree with them but they're not entirely wrong either
To this day there are still people who have deep disdain for anything with anime art style because it's "weird japanese shit" like how game journalists used to treat JRPGs in the 2000s

Just look at the E33 fanbase. It was touted as genre defining when the only thing genre defining about it was that it didn't look like anime
>>
>>59232870
No one hates the looks of anime landscape and environmment
What needs to go is the stupid hairstyles and the animal ears

>clearly supposed to be japan
>everyone driving on the right side as opposed to the left side
>there's a car clearly based on a dodge charger in one of the screenshots (could be US military from okinawa but still)

Back on topic it's because Game Freak can't code worth an absolute shit. This is also why Champions runs at 30 fps despite how there's barely anything going on besides just four Pokemon on screen at max and like 50 NPCs.

Surely the Switch 1 can easily handle this at 60 fps @ 720p

Game Freak didn't make Champions, ILCA did.

I'm so fucking disappointed with the presentation of Pokemon Champions

>a simple single text box with an animation playing at the same time
vs
>arcanine's intimidate
>pause
>animation
>pause
>arcanine's intimidate cuts mesprit's attack
Are they afraid people won't know what's going on?

Legends Arceus solved this problem but unfortunately Game Freak's too retardo enough for this to be a mainstay.
>>
>>59233600
All of the console games solved this problem.
>>
>>59232849
Because you'll buy it anyway.
>>
>>59232849
NTE at max settings wouldn't be able to run on a switch 2 a pokemon game with raytracing would turn the console into a bomb given gamefreaks laughably bad optimization

Look at that shit
I'd kill for a pokemon game with this aesthetics and a city full of life like this..

I'm not talking about the gameplay, not the stupid looking animal-ears characters, I'm talking about the environment it takes place in.

Yeah, shitty Nintendo handhelds are keeping the franchise down
Imagine if pokemon games were on PC with competent devs....the infinite potential...
>>
>>59232849
>chink gacha shit
anime is japanese...
>>
>>59232849
i tried this out and it's the biggest slop i've ever played, they want to be hoyoverse so bad. gameplay is so fucking dull
