Was doing some thinking and realized that I've never met anyone who was above the age of 12 when they got into this series. That's being generous, really. That maximum is probably closer to around 9. Thinking about it further, I realized I probably would've never gotten into Pokemon if I wasn't exposed to it as a kid, something I can't really say for alot of other things I was into as a kid that I'm still a fan of. That brings me to ask if anyone on this board knows anyone who got into this series as an adult or at least teenager.
Hated Pokémon as a kid, was seen as uncool to playGot into it at 22, first game was platinum. I’m 29 nowIt is rare I’ll admit, used to work with a coworker in 2019 his first game was SWSH and he got super into the franchise. Used to ruthlessly defend them too kek, despite never touching the prior games
>was doing some thinkingCarefull bud, we don't cotton on to that sort of behaviour round these parts.
Hello, yes. I was 15 when I got into it. But I also got in before the whole "Pokémania" shit kicked off in my country, I bought Red Dec 27th '99 and was hooked from minute one, the anime and marketing started up at the end of January '00.If all you talk to is people your own age demographic, all you'll meet is sheep the exact same copy/pastes as yourself.

>>59234442Pokémon's lifeblood is nostalgia, arrested development, and brand loyalty. It's fairly obvious why most fans have been fans since childhood.
