Milcery just feels like they had no idea how to justify Alcremie's gimmick without locking you into a permanent form specifically when it probably could've been done by using an item on a wild Alcremie of your specific preferred flavor to "unlock its full potential" like an evolutionary stone or something. They overthought the idea completely and just added dex filler because every fucking Pokemon NEEDS to evolve these days
