The new Majin gimmick isn't resurrection. It's like a more refined Terastallization. The thing in the middle of the gimmick symbol actually turns like a dial causing the pointed parts to switch sides. Majin represents something like the Pokemon shedding a part of itself to reveal a new power underneath. Pombon's final evo is naturally Fire/Steel but with the new mechanic, it sheds something like a "Steel Aura" (not sure of what it's actually called) and becomes a Fire/Fairy type with a new appearance.The shed "Steel Aura" stays on the filed and weakens Steel's effect on Fairy Type Pokemon while also boosting one stat for Steel Type Pokemon (not sure which stat)What makes this gimmick seem fun is that it looks like it will be the first gimmick that can be used multiple times (up to three from what I've seen). This means that you can send out Browt's evo, use Majin to change its typing and gain protection against Fighting and then use Majin again next turn to change back into Grass/Fighting for additional power.That leaked Majin Pikachu video is what happens to every Pokemon right before they switch. Their bodies begin to bubble up with power from beneath the surface. Windychu and Wavychu are named that because their Majin types turn them from Electric into Flying and Water respectively while also releasing Electric Aura that protects them against Electric attacks. All Pokemon can use Majin but only some of them get new forms.Browt's evo is pretty funny when it changes. It looses a bunch of its feathers and becomes tired. It's like Larry from Paldea

It looks like it could be Flying or Dragon.There was a side quest given by Allister from Galar. It looked like he was a guest at the hotel.It is possible to catch Pokemon like in Legends if you have enough badges. As you get more badges you can catch stronger Pokemon without battling but it looks like there are some Pokemon that you will always have to battle before catching.

They literally gave the same selection of starters in the sequel. Why not introduce new evos then?

Are you aware the Kanto starters don’t get split evos in GSC unlike other Kanto mons? At least Alola did day and night forms with Lycanroc so the starters could’ve also gotten the same treatment
