i have this theory that pokemon are getting uglier and look less pokemon-ish, they look like they're from a different series because of fan concept art.basically whenever fan concept art nails the pokemon look and fans create pokemon that look like they belong in the franchise, the pokemon company has to slightly alter the style of what pokemon look like and it's gotten to a point where some pokemon don't look like pokemon anymore.nintendo knows, since they love to sue people, that if they make pokemon that look too close to fan concepts they'll get sued, so they developed a strategy where they alter slightly what pokemon look like stylistically so by the time fans nail the look, it's already outdated.It's why eveelutions that people want can't be made too, because people love evee so much they've made too many cool concepts that if pokemon makes a cool eevelution it'll look too much like something that's already been made by fans and they'll get sued.just look at these things, they don't look like they belong in pokemon, but that's because nintendo was forced to alter what a pokemon looks like stylistically just to stay ahead of the race. i'm not saying they're bad designs, i'm saying they don't look like pokemon, they look bootleg or like digimon and guzzlord looks like he's a billy and mandy monster, like he belongs in a kids halloween cartoon movie.

I just don't feel attached to the nu mons because teh Switch titles were so bad that I didn't even play them so I have made no memories or experiences with the nu mons whatsoever besides looking at art of them on 4chan. Meanwhile, I spent a good chunk of my childhood with the gen 1-3 mons and have had so many hours of fun and adventures with the gen 4-6 mons.But I still like some of them. There are some really good designs, there are some absolute shit designs and there are a whole bunch of just meh whatever designs.
