Nihilego doesn't have the typing, the moveset or the stats to be competitive. You can check the rankings of the performance of each mon in each league here: https://pvpoke.com/rankings/all/2500/overall/Also, in Great League and Ultra League where there's a CP limit, you generally do not want Pokemon with high attack IVs. That includes all 4* and 3* mon. The tl;dr is that Pokemon with low attack IVs can reach a higher level before reaching the CP limit, resulting in overall higher stats. https://iv4u.lima-city.de/?l=en&m=3&p=ForretressOn this site you can check the best-possible IV combinations for any given mon. The best-possible IV spread for Forretress for instance is 0/9/15, which results in almost 10% more overall stats compared to the worst IV spread, which would be 15/3/2. You don't need to have the perfect IVs for every mon, just aim for something reasonably high (top 300 or something). You can always upgrade later if you find a mon with a significantly higher IV rank.Great league mons are easier to build so I'd start out with that. It's the default PoGo league in my opinion.
