For example: I believe all Gyms should have a secondary function as being the Battle Facilities of the old games. Each Gym would have gimmick: Random effects like the Battle Pike, a 4-way battle like the Battle Royal, or minigames that give you or the opponent an advantage like the Battle Arcade. Once your in the postgame you can then re-enter them and practically relive the Battle Frontier!
