I hope so but I doubt it. Gamefreak are shit at their jobs, after all. Best we'll get is another "experiment" or "shakeup" like with gen 8 where something stupid happens like them making a single generic fossil trilobite or something and giving it like 5 forms but making all of them hard to get and useless.
