Pokémon design peaked with a Gen 1 line
>2/3 of the line isn't from Gen 1!Still a line based in Gen 1, and they never made a better line without that Gen 1 base, so good enough for me
>>59264969I just now realized seeing them all together that porygon z didn't randomly grow a spike on its head. That's it's neck and its head is upsidedown
>>59264969you don't need to make a stealth Pikachu line thread, OP! You can just make one :)
>>59264969and the best one is the gen 4 one, curious.
>>59265147Why are there two giant Pikachu's after alolan raichu
>>59265170were you in a coma for the past half a year
>>59264969It's definitely time for a new Porygon. We went from blocky polygons to smooth 3D textures to corrupted data. AI would definitely be next.
>>59265171I skipped za because I hate kalos. Pikachu got two megas?!
>>59265186Raichu got two Megas.
>>59265186unfortunately both are RaichusI guess there's a reason you didn't know, everyone thought this was shit and it got forgotten immediately despite being THE megas for THE shillmon
>>59265188>THE megas for THE shillmonNo they are megas for the shillmons redheaded evo
>>59264969>framed by Pikachu for frying Jap children's brains and blacklisted from animation forever
I want to see a mechanic where you can at least somewhat customise your Porygon's appearance. This world has 600+ actively-maintained Linux distros, so there's no chance that people aren't making their own custom forks of each other's Porygon skins
>>59265719that would be a really fun gimmick. Could work as a regional variant too. And you could have its look be a handful of simple blend shapes and textures and be influenced by IVs and EVs if they wanted to make it truly a linux reference, because then it would filter people despite still being easy. Might also be a good opportunity to do something specific: a new regional form that can't evolve unlike previous regional forms that could. Give it some ability or item that gives it a boost so it's not useless (maybe something that doubles iv and ev influence, or something) but otherwise no porygon2 or porygon-z. Or maybe porygon2 but no z. Something like that. Could be really fun! Plus it defaulting to black/white with a yellow beak would be a bit on the nose but also really fun.
>>59265377this animation would be so based if Gamefreak wasn't retarded
>>59264969To this day I don't know why it looks like a duck.
>>59265161Porygon-Z is one of the few good designs from Gen 4
>>59266215linux is a penguin
>>59266215What I want to know is why it's a duck with giant feet on either side of its body and no wingsseriously, what? flip the feet upside down and it looks like it's flying, and it's already floating along as it is, but now instead it just kicks its feet. P2 just leaves them stationary for the most part, and only PZ seems to turn them into "wings".Why? I don't mind the end design but... why giant feet on either side?? It looks like tank treads!!
If Porygon is 100% manmade then that means someone had to code in sex animations for it
>>59266215It's based off a drinking bird toy. Porygon2's idle animations show it best.
>>59268295>Paradox PORYGON>Another Paradox pokemon, this time a past and future forms of PORYGON, however instead of a far past and distant future versions, they are a bit closer>Past PORYGON (Rock) is based on 8-bit videogame sprites, this based on the idea of the first attempts at making a PORYGON were done using very early technology, its rock typing comes from it being from "the past" and for being made out of blocks>Future PORYGON (Steel) is based on the original idea that PORYGON was intended to be a digital render of a Drinking Bird toy, this based on its color palette and overal body shape as well as the form in which PORYGON and PORYGON2 move their heads up and down just like the bird toy. The idea is for this version to finally achieve this using modern rendering technology. Its metalic finish as well as its steel typing is based on a modern rendering of the Newell Teapot, also known as Utah Teapot, one of the first 3D rendering models that has become a standard reference objet for 3D modeling in general, as well as a little reference to Jeff Koons balloon animal statues made from metal.
>>59266745drinking bird>only PZ seems to turn them into "wings".Why?being based on a glitched out model gave them the opportunity to utilize the legs as wings and you wrote an entire paragraph of why that design opportunity was noticed
