Even then, it doesn't seem like he wants to make another one (Which he says every time a Smash game comes out lel). Either he only just got to start working on it, or Nintendo is still trying to needle him in to working on a new one, or he's genuinely done and Nintendo is panicking trying to figure out how to do the next Smash without him.

>>59269540Dlc doesn't take the original dev team to produce, it's a skeleton crew in comparison. Air Riders would have been in active development since at most 2021, it's not exactly a game dripping with content. People joked air riders was a "bribe" to keep Sakurai around but I don't think that's true, I think he just has enough sway in the company and it was a relatively cheap way to make a DLSS-heavy game as a showcase, because visually it's not very impressive either. All this to say that a new smash will probably be announced pretty soon since sales for ultimate are finally slowing down.
