Why the hate?I get competitive fags eventually displace any archetype aside "sweeper with a giga attack and massive speed". But i think Pokemon with even splitted normal and special attacks are soul full and very RPG-ish: like characters than can both swing the sword while tossing a fireball

But Absol was even worse in gen 3 than in gen 4+ because of the physical special split all dark type moves were special, but Absol is a physical attacker so the little bitch didn't even have stab with its dominant attack stat, severely limiting offense.
>>59271249>Why the hate?You can be frail or slow, both is a death sentence. It's not the mixed attacking that is bad, there have been several good mixed attackers over the years. But those had some speed to make them threatening, your Infernapes and Blazikens (but NOT your Sceptiles), wallbreaker types. 1v1 Pokemon is like an old west shootout and having high attacking stats on a slow, frail chassis makes you the cowboy that can't clear leather before he goes to the bone orchard. It's asking to get swept.

Like you could do a mon with 60 speed and 60 in both def stats just fine under tailwind given the right circumstances but it’s only gonna be worth that effort if it has like 180 base special attack or something stupid. Otherwise you’d just pick a mon that is bulkier or faster or both because plenty of them can get a relevant attack stat that’s above 130 these days.
