OP's probably a VGC player where No Guard wouldn't practically be a strict upgrade over this since giving allies a free Wide Lens boost is great for risk management.

I've been using one in champions. Mold breaker almost never comes up. 1 in 20 games you might match into a dragonite and have a chance to ignore multiscale but eh.
Clearly the intention is that it can ignore lightning rod pokemon, but theres almost none. I haven't played against a single one yet.
On the plus side, parabolic charge with screens and sinistcha heals fucking slaps
