It worked with Gen 1 because KANTOOOOOOOOOOOOO is so rabidly shilled that it’s the only Gen ultra casual normroids know, but ultra casual normoids only care about the top shillmons of KANTOOOOO. Gen 2 is the weakest dex before gen 8.
The designs are too baby-like.
There are sooooo many different shitmons.
This is the only gen before gen 8 where I think I don't have a mon I truly love.
The best are Piloswine and Houndoom. They are leagues above the rest of gen 2 but compared to Ninetales, Absol, Leafeon and the likes they still fall short.
In HGSS I mostly use KANTOOOOOOOO mons because I like them a lot mire.
