I just got to the Battle Frontier for the first time and holy fuck is the Battle Factory fun. We need a thread to talk about the Factory and any other Rental formats.
Have you gotten Gold Print? What's your highest streak? Favorite set to find in your draft?

>Set 4 (battles 22-28)
>Rental options are Tauros1, Absol1, Lucario1 and elevations of Flygon2, Gardevoir2, Shiftry2
>Take Lucario/Gardevoir/Flygon, leading Lucario because first opponent's lead has Ice Beam
>vs Froslass/Blaziken/Cradily
>Swap Flygon -> Blaziken; Flygon2 has no STAB and Blaziken removes the possibility of future opponents running Salac
>2nd opponent is Purugly/Pupitar/Shelgon, a complete joke but also difficult to swap with
>3rd opponent has a lead Dragon Claw. This can't be Garchomp or Altaria (item clause with Lucario/Gardevoir) but it can be Salamence, Dragonite, or Gabite
>Think about the swap for a while but don't want to risk Dragonite sweeping if it hits the right combination of moves
>ends up being a complete joke of Gabite/Marshtomp/Masquerain
>4th opponent leads Psycho Cut which can only be Iron Ball Hypno... which could be strangely annoying to deal with
>Swap Lucario -> Gabite to take care of the Hypno
>Mamoswine and Mismagius are in the back
>5th opponent's lead has Seed Bomb, swap Gabite -> Mismagius
>Lead Shiftry which Blaziken easily takes care of, plus Drapion and Glaceon
>Drapion has a Lum Berry; taking it over Mismagius ensures the final fight doesn't have Swampert, Lanturn, Mismagius, Magnezone, Gyarados, Slaking, Glalie, Bronzong, or Exeggutor
>Metang/Omastar/Croconaw is an easy 6th fight
>7th opponent's lead has Earthquake; Donphan, Golem, Gliscor or Rhydon (Steelix and Hippowdon are excluded because of item clause)
>Out of Drapion/Metang/Omastar/Croconaw, Omastar has the best matchups into Donphan, Golem and Gliscor
>Final fight is Omastar2/Gardevoir2/Blaziken1 vs Gliscor2/Nidoking2/Yanmega2
>Omastar sweeps the entire fight
A little disappointed that I couldn't swap for Purugly and get 7/7 swaps but I'm satisfied to have identified just how poorly the Dragon Claw fight could have gone if it had been Dragonite instead of Gabite.
