Yeah I agree. I like the story the best and the enemy team the best and it's my favorite pokedex and I also like how in XY you are not restricted to only the new pokemans until the postgame. you really just had to be there because you don't get the same experience if you've played newer games before it but it was just cool feeling like everything is new and you are discovering a whole new region with a whole new dex.

I played through it once and loved it, although the distance between the first two gym fights slogs the pacing a lot, even more when the castle in Camphrier has literally nothing in it and the aquarium was just a hallway in Ambrette Town with no impact in the story.
After Cyllage the game feels very alive and diverse. It may feel a lot like 'looks without substance', but they really cared for the game atmosphere.

Sadly I'd say it's not that good. The legendary music is great, most tracks relating to Team Flare are also good, but the gym leader theme is massively underwhelming and very few routes have tracks that are remotely interesting or memorable

Aside from Clemont and Korrina, I rarely see any of them get talked about. Check booru, check r34, check every art or porn site, you'll see that Kalos characters get very little art.
