Thematically the setting was kind of interesting, but then the game's dialogue and its feeble attempts at generating drama were so bad that I legitimately think SwSh would have been cooler if they didn't have any of the characters say anything at all until the climax.
This is my favourite Pokémon I never used because I used Sprigatito in a romhack once.

>>59281375First of all, it's a pretty generic design. A wolf with a sword in its mouth isn't exactly an innovative concept. It's still "cool" of course, but just being cool doesn't make it memorable.Secondly, and more importantly, both of the SwSh box legends have a shit story. Sure, they have a bunch of lore, but you just get told about it in text and it doesn't matter much. The problem is how it's presented in the game. That bit at the start of the game where you see one of them in the forest was kinda cool, but that's pretty much it. The story climax is actual dogshit. They just kinda show up out of nowhere and saves the day. It's extremely shallow. You have no reason to get attached to them.This combines with piss poor visual presentation, pic related, makes them extremely boring for box legendaries.
