I don't really give a shit about gym leaders.
The gym challenge just isn't that interesting.
I forget about most of them 1 month after I beat their games.
Evil teams and their leaders and admins are a lot more memorable because they actually do shit in the story and pose a threat, rather than being roadblocks.
But the most important characters are the Pokémon themselves, which are why I play the games.
