At least for a region-spanning story arc.Mega Evolution/any form change should be a big part of a Pokémon’s individual arc. It seems pretty intense and somewhat painful to actually do. Having multiple going means you’re going in depth on those character arcs, and usually (in a general narrative sense) mega evolution is something to add on top of a fully fleshed out team, so it’s as the story is beginning to enter its major climax. Having multiple mega evolution arcs going at once would easily bog down the story. If you’re doing mega evolution content early in the story, then disregard this (obviously).
