But it's not the climate that bothers me.With Alola, the background knowledge that the islands are so small in overall size makes them less mysterious, personally. My favorite parts of Pokemon games are the wilderness areas, and it's hard to have much of that when you have to allocate space for cities on an island. Alola really could've benefitted from Dive areas or Surfing between islands

>>59326977To be fair there's only Lumiose and then a bunch of small towns, I wouldn't call the region outright rural, but it's a bit less urban than the likes of Kanto and Unova. And not more urban than Johto either. Paldea is the only one with large ass empty spaces and that's more of an open world thing.Maybe "suburban" is a better description

The era of regions with a high density of cities is not fitting anymore, and I think using islands should result in more stable gameplay as well since the hardware can focus on loading each island at a time (even if the water and diving is interactable).
