Furry Jets Edition

What is Pokémon Sleep?
Pokémon Sleep is a sleep tracking app that utilizes your smartphone and/or the Pokémon Go Plus + device to record data as you sleep. In doing so, you'll be able to meet a variety of Pokémon and fill out your Sleep Style Dex.

Be sure to post your Research ID so that you can add and share candy with fellow Anons. We are currently locked at 50 friends.

FAQ:
>How do Shinies work?
If you encounter a shiny Pokémon, a single Poké Biscuit will auto-befriend it.
>What should I spend my diamonds on?
Expanding your ingredient pockets, item pockets and Pokémon box. Long term you’ll want to max out ingredient pockets, everything else is up to what's convenient for you.
>When should I use my items?
When you have a good grasp of the game mechanics. You may want to save up Recovery Incenses for event missions.
>What should I spend my sleep points on?
Poké Biscuits first or if you’re a premium user: Main and Subskill seeds and Great Biscuits.
>Can I play this game if there's a lot of noise where I sleep?
The game tracks sleep based on motion only; sound has no impact.
>A Pokémon I fed got full! Will I have to start from scratch the next time I find one?
Nope! Pokémon retain any progress from when you last saw them.
>How do dream clusters work?
The higher your research rank, the more shards you get. You may want to hold onto them as long as possible.

We get New Moon again during this event, with a couple days stretching over the end of the week. It'll be a nice opportunity to capture either Latias or Latios, but you also ought to make sure you have enough points piled up to make use of the event biscuits.
>>
>BFS + HB Dratini
>But literally nothing else
It's tempting, but I feel that I know better.

Aside from that, I got my first Latios on the second sleep research of the event, (2 star sleep too), so I can get 1.3x DP now.
I'm already at Master 18 at GG, 3 star sleep requires Master 19 / 316.7m DP. I may be eligible for that by the end of the day.
I think I'll pop a Latias incense today since I need a good Latias still.

On the other hand, this does stack up on my Amber Canyon team pretty nicely.
>>

The problem is getting it to a usable level.
I have one with HSM + speed nature, but a lot of time I wish it had AAB/AAC ingredient set. Even though herbs are good filler, I actually can't use everything it puts out despite it not having any ingredient bonuses.
>>
>>59350968
Yeah, the mono-herb one I have is incredible at its job, but you rarely need that many herbs now (though that could change).
It's hit 60, and there's merit to getting it to 75, but it's already incredible at gathering herbs and you can't use everything it provides effectively.
Filler ingredients are not good for strength, berries are more important.

Considering Latias and Latios work best with BFS dragon team members, it would be a worthwhile long term investment.
Specifically Latias because of bonus helpings, that scales with BFS whereas Latios' berry burst does not.
Plus corn is way more useful than herbs, and whilst I do have my mono-corn BFS Bewear already, more options are good.
>>
Welp accidentally sent away my bfs hsm shiny dratini, anyone wanna tell me that’s actually not that bad
>>
>>59352072
I don't see how that happens accidentally. There are automatic fail-safes in place for shinies and legendaries.
>>
is this where i use my mint?
>>
>>59352650
if youre fine with waiting til 75 to see really great performance, yes
>>
>>59352408
I wasn’t paying attention when I was cleaning my box

Latias and Latios have the same requirements, so what's important to look at is the Drowsy Power (rather than tier). On standard islands, 3.2m Snorlax Power should allow you to see a 3* style; about 3m if you decide to run a Latias/Latios in your party and only about 2.5m if you can include both.
>>
i a good latias even good?

Evaluating Latias as a healer, it can be a very good job of it and approach E4E healer efficacy, but not meet it.
Latias has been identified to reliably heal the two lowest energy Pokémon on your team, compared to regular Energizing Cheer users that can choose to heal someone at high or max energy. Latias can also heal itself, so this altogether is super reliable.

The other part is the additional helps it gets from the two Pokémon.
With skill level 6, each healed Pokémon also gathers 4 additional helps (8 total for two Pokémon), but this increases to 7 helps if Latios is on your team. It isn't the most significant impact.

Latias is good if you can somehow find a god roll AND power it up, which is way harder than the majority of E4E healers.

Latios' main skill has a more meaningful impact when Latias is added, giving +10 to the self-berries Draco Meteor (Berry Burst) gathers.
To achieve that same +10 effect requires having a full team of dragons (excluding Latias) otherwise.

Pulling off a full dragon team that includes Latias and Latios can be monstrously strong.

For comparison, if we substitute Latias for Shuckle on this Amber Canyon team, there's big strength drops across the board, but especially for Latios and the healer slot.
Everyone's energy is higher on average, but not by a big amount.

Incidentally, due to how Heal Pulse always goes for the least energetic helpers, Dragonite will get less frequent support due to how it heals itself with Charge Energy S. Moreso if its main skill happens to be higher level.

IMO Berry Burst Pokemon don't even want BFS, or at least not at vs HSM or STM. They're some of the strongest Pokemon, but require a lot of resources to utilize, so I don't think I'd take anything less than BFS + HSM/STM + good nature. If IFS was swapped with one of the other two skills, it might have been OK.

>>59353751
Keep in mind event boosts are active on raenon, so these values are inflated with extra skill triggers and ingredient pickups. Not to say that full Dragon isn't the way to go anyways. But yeah, Latias isn't too impressive by itself, but it's still a key part of the overall goal.
>>
>>59354422
Oops.
Sorry, I don't think they want HB. They definitely want BFS.
>>
>>59354422
>Keep in mind event boosts are active on raenon
Ah fuck, I always forget about that.
Fucking sucks for when you want to evaluate a baseline performance.
>>
I guess I can run it for the DP boost...
Ate up 3 special biscuits, my daily, and a couple Great Biscuits, with a crit one a smaller one, but managed it all in one go.

Since the Biscuits are shared between the two, I feel like points are going to hurt more than usual. And dragons being a bit rare to spawn, I'm not getting quite as many material bonuses so far either.

Yeah, I hate it too. I would tell you to use Nerolislab in these cases, but they are fucking slow at adding new mons, so they still don't have Latios on the calculator.
>>
It's a bit odd, but Latias is the only legendary so far that doesn't actually care about its team aside from Latios. So you can use it by itself without losing that much efficacy, but its power also peaks pretty low in comparison to the others.
