Either to see if TR was linked back to any recent crimes, or to see if there are any recent events that he can take advantage of. I can also see him watching a lot of documentaries on paranormal activities/unexplained happenings, constantly wondering if there's a strong mythical pokemon behind those events. Honestly, if anything, I think Gio being a dad improves him as a character. He's clearly not a good father, but he does seem to genuinely love his son nonetheless. Especially in PokéMas, there's a bunch of subtle hints that show he truly loves Silver. That gap between him being a merciless mafia boss yet still caring for his son is Delicious and makes him 100x sexier imo. It also helps that I like Silver as a character to begin with. I'd probably feel different if I thought Gio's child was insufferable. I would be a bit upset if they introduced another, younger child—as that would increase the chances of a woman still being in the picture. But I highly doubt TPC would choose to introduce another child over expanding on his relationship with his existing son, so I'm not too worried. For now, I'll gladly become Silver's stepmom.
