It's a shame I had to leave my totem sized Marowak behind.I guess I could start Yellow and Crystal VC playthroughs(I only played Blue and Gold on VC) just to get the Home achievements. Even though my Kanto Home dex is complete and I only really have 9 more Johto mons to collect, all of which can be done in the current modern games.Otherwise, I think I'm satisfied for now.

my pokemon black is toast. "cannot access save data" can't even start a new game. The worst part is that last time I played ds a couple years ago I cleaned out all my other games and dumped the pokemon into black and never got around to moving them up to bank. It would be mostly the legendaries from each game and sentimental mons. I'm devastated about that loss. The real kicker is that's the bottleneck to get mons to bank so not only do I need to play through all the ds games I'm going to have to use pkhex or pksm to transfer which while much easier, feels kinda greasy.

Something is likely really wrong with it since Pokemon games usually keep a back-up of your 2nd-to-last save as well in case the most recent save goes corrupt.Does the intro animation load, or does it go straight to the error message on boot?If it is the former, you might be able to try to at least wiping the corrupt save with the Up, Select, B combo.If it is the latter, your cartridge's save chip is probably physically fucked at the solder.

Idk chlorine, but most of the time something breaks from getting wet, it either was a flavored drink with sugar or not dried properly. If you spill a soda on a keyboard, most of the time you can fix it by letting it soak in clean water then drying it for a few days. That's what I did because I also don't want my mons to be stuck in the 3DS (but still wanted to have them there as well).If you don't have Bank, it's tougher, though there are still methods apparently but I can't give advice on that. I hacked my 3DS just to back-up my save files, cause I've always used Bank, since it was released.
