Fairy at the very least must be weaker than Dragon, since Dragon is a huge selling point with all the legendaries and pseudo legenadaries being dragon types, and if Fairy out DPS's dragon, then Dragon would have no purpose
Fairy in general is potentially really good since it actually resists all the things it's designed to beat, and random steel and poison charge moves are rare.

At proper tanking, you end up getting 50k stardust a day during Master League weeks, and about 100k on Thursdays.
That amount of stardust is largely unneeded though to be functional in the game. You should be able to build good raid teams from just catching and raiding. It's mostly there for autistic reasons, like more PvP mons, or like me, who tries to max out all his hundos.

For raids, you want the highest IVs possible (even better if it's a 15/15/15). Keep in mind that, objectively speaking, shadow mons are leagues above their normal counterparts in terms of dealing damage (0% IV shadow > 100% IV non-shadow).

Energy is awarded based on how quickly you complete the raid.
The "damage" section is for your damage contribution not tanking, and determines bonus balls and influences raid loot.

There is no reward for receiving a lot of damage in raids.

If you let the pokemon faint before relobbying you almost always get the desync bug where it falsely accuses you of entering the raid with a fainted party and kicks you back to relobby, deleting the max revives you used and doubling or even sometimes tripling relobby time.

Unless of course you relobby very slowly and the server always has time to catch up.

So to preserve DPS you exit immediately after a charged attack when your health is in range to not get another charged attack, and wait several seconds before rejoining...

Idk, I have ~2,000 Houndours caught and my only hundo is purified. It's a useless shadow and purification gives a cost reduction when maxing it. Generally, I purify almost nothing, but there are a handful of megas with really, really poor base forms that want low IVs for PVP and I actually don't see anything wrong with purifying those for a hundo.

G'day gents, I'm new and whilst most information about the game is available through Google, it's not always up-to-date.

I started on 28/08 and my goal was exclusively to get a Meowscarada family line, and a secondary goal was to fill a 6-pokemon team with grass cats.

I have been playing regularly every day, walking around 40km per week, and I have encountered a total of 5 Sprigatitos. What gives? Am I just horribly unlucky? It's funny, but thanks to the community day I now have a gigachad shiny Garchomp before I've even gotten a Florigato.

If any of you were going Sprigatito farming, what would you do to maximize your chances of getting them to spawn?

Sorry for the late reply, anon. I use PokeGenie to host raids. You "create your lobby" (so you specify the weather, gym color and if there's gonna be extra people), you queue up until it's your turn, then trainers add you, you invite them and everyone wins. I recommend creating the lobby around 10-20 mins before the raid gym hatches. There's more to it (supply and demand) but it's pretty good 99% of the time.

NTA but yeah. Higher tier raids depend on how spongy the boss is and the counters you got. It's almost always better to boost your damage with a secondary account (via party power) and/or using Zacian's Adventure Effect (which gives like 5% extra dps).

Yeah, most of the soloable 4 and 5 star raids involve exploiting double weaknesses, or their defense stat being low enough.
Attack Form Deoxys is a notable solo 5 star raid since you just throw a lot of strong dark types at it.
There was also a 5 star Bidoof raid on an April Fools day event years back, which is the only time 5 star raids featured a Pokémon that is not legendary, mythical, or an Ultra Beast.

Raid bosses have fixed HP pools depending on their tier.
Chansey and Shuckle are known for their durability, but this format makes tier 3 Chansey a pushover whilst tier 3 Shuckle was nearly impossible to solo years ago.

Many tier 3 shadow raids can also be extremely difficult to solo due to the 180 second timer and the huge offensive and defensive buff they get when they enrage.
Unfortunately the purified gem mechanic for shadow raids is complete bullshit, and subduing an enraged raid boss needs a fixed number of gems, whilst an individual participant can only use 5 gems per raid.
There's no nuance of "using gems reduces the threshold for subduing it", so solo raids cannot be subdued short of dealing enough damage.

As of late there's been a lot of extremely OP additions.
Shadow and Mega Pokémon were already making more solo raids feasible, but the introduction of fused and crowned Pokémon like Necrozma, Kyurem, Zacian, and Zamazenta up-ended the game balance, and now Mega 4 Pokémon with their exclusive mega moves make even more solo raids viable.
That's before applying adventure effects like Zacian's Behemoth Blade, or Mega Mewtwo X's Dynamic Punch+, that give you a time-limited attack buff in raids.
I needed Zacian's adventure effect to pull of a solo Lunala raid some time ago.
